
35 Artillery Brigade Intercepts Large Quantity of Drugs, Hands Over Exhibits to NDLEA
Troops of the 35 Artillery Brigade have intercepted a Mazda vehicle carrying a significant quantity of suspected Cannabis Sativa in Odeda LGA of Ogun State. The operation, conducted on Friday, 29th March 2024, resulted in the seizure of 441 wrapped pieces of Cannabis Sativa weighing 223kg.

Brigadier General Mohammed Tajudeen Aminu, Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade, commended the troops for their vigilance and urged them to remain steadfast in their duties. The exhibits, along with the Mazda vehicle, were handed over to the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Ogun State Command on Tuesday, 3rd April 2024.
Representing the Commander, Major Gadzama Abdullahi, reiterated the Brigade’s commitment to collaborating with other security agencies to combat crimes and social vices in the state.

Commandant Jane Ibiba Odili of the NDLEA Ogun State Command expressed her appreciation for the synergy between the military and other security agencies. She praised General Aminu for his support, highlighting the significant successes achieved through their collaboration. This interception marks another instance of the military’s assistance in the NDLEA’s efforts to combat drug trafficking and syndicates.
With the support of the military, the NDLEA has been able to enhance its operations, break boundaries, and dismantle drug syndicates effectively, leading to a comprehensive approach in the fight against drug-related crimes.
