Abuja, Nigeria – October 30, 2025

Nigeria has received a total of 170 applications for citizenship from nationals of various countries, according to the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. The announcement was made in Abuja during a meeting of the Advisory Committee on Nigerian Citizenship, which the Minister chairs.

In a statement issued by Mary Ali, Assistant Director of Press and Public Relations at the Ministry of Interior, Tunji-Ojo emphasized that Nigerian citizenship is a privilege that must be earned through integrity, good character, and a genuine commitment to the nation’s values.
