Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan Awards Golden Visas to 200 Outstanding Educators
Dubai, UAE – October 5, 2025
In a landmark move to honor the pivotal role of teachers in shaping the future of the nation, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, has awarded Golden Visas to 200 exceptional educators across the emirate.
The announcement, made during a special ceremony held at the Dubai World Trade Centre, marks a significant step in recognizing the contributions of educators to the UAE’s educational advancement and long-term vision for a knowledge-based economy.
“Teachers are the architects of our future. Their tireless efforts, especially in recent years, have ensured that our children continue to thrive, grow, and lead with confidence, despite global challenges,” Sheikh Hamdan said during the event. “This Golden Visa is a token of our appreciation and a reaffirmation of our commitment to valuing talent in all its forms.”
A New Era for Educators
The recipients were carefully selected based on their innovative teaching methods, dedication to student success, and commitment to educational excellence. Many of the honored educators have contributed to groundbreaking curriculum development, inclusive education practices, and the successful integration of technology in classrooms.
The Golden Visa, which offers a 10-year renewable residency, will allow these educators and their families to reside in the UAE with long-term security and stability—empowering them to continue making lasting contributions to the nation’s development.
Part of a Broader Vision
This initiative aligns with the UAE’s broader strategy to retain top-tier professionals across sectors and strengthen the country’s position as a global hub for talent and innovation. Previous recipients of the Golden Visa have included scientists, entrepreneurs, artists, and frontline healthcare workers.
Education leaders across Dubai welcomed the initiative, calling it a morale-boosting gesture that reinforces the prestige of the teaching profession.
Dr. Aisha Al Suwaidi, Director of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), said, “This move sends a powerful message: that educators are not just valued—they are essential. The Golden Visa gives them the recognition and stability they deserve.”
A Nation Investing in Minds
With education at the heart of the UAE’s Vision 2031, the Golden Visa program is one of several national efforts to uplift the teaching community. Enhanced professional development programs, education grants, and collaborative innovation labs are also being rolled out across the country.
For the 200 educators recognized this week, the Golden Visa is not just a personal milestone—it is a symbol of national gratitude and trust in their mission to inspire the next generation.
