Ooni receives APC Presidential Campaign Council, commends Tinubu

The Ooni of Ife has received members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council and commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and efforts towards the development of Nigeria.

The visit provided an opportunity for the traditional ruler and members of the campaign council to discuss issues relating to national development, governance, peace and unity. The engagement also highlighted the importance of cooperation between traditional institutions and political leaders in addressing the country’s challenges.

The Ooni, who occupies a prominent position in Yoruba traditional leadership, has continued to play a significant role in promoting cultural heritage, peaceful coexistence and dialogue among Nigerians. His reception of the APC delegation underscores the relevance of traditional institutions in fostering communication between political stakeholders and communities.

During the meeting, the commendation of President Tinubu reflected the traditional ruler’s recognition of the administration’s leadership efforts. Such engagements also provide an opportunity for political representatives to interact with traditional leaders, whose influence can contribute to discussions on community development and national cohesion.

The visit further highlighted the relationship between traditional rulers and political institutions in Nigeria’s democratic system. While elected officials are responsible for governance and policy implementation, traditional institutions often serve as important links between government and local communities.

As Nigeria continues to address economic, security and social challenges, engagements involving political leaders and traditional rulers remain an avenue for dialogue on peace, development and national unity.
