Adegbesan Extends Distribution Of 10,000 English And Mathematics Textbooks To SS3 Student In Ijebu East

Hon. Joseph Adegbesan, Member of the House of Representatives representing Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency, has continued the distribution of customised English Language and Mathematics textbooks to Senior Secondary School Three (SS3) students across his constituency, extending the initiative to schools in Ijebu East Local Government Area.

The distribution exercise covered Saint Anthony Grammar School, Ijebu Imusin; Itele High School, Itele; and Ijebu Ifẹ Community Grammar School, Ijebu Ifẹ, as part of his commitment to promoting educational development and improving students’ academic performance.

Addressing the students, Hon. Adegbesan urged them to take their studies seriously, remain disciplined and strive for academic excellence. He encouraged them to be worthy ambassadors of their parents, schools, Ogun State and Nigeria at large. He explained that the provision of the textbooks was aimed at strengthening students’ understanding of English Language and Mathematics, which are core subjects required for admission into higher institutions. He reaffirmed that the initiative would cover all SS3 students across Ijebu North, Ijebu East and Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency.

The Principal of Saint Anthony Grammar School, Senior, Ijebu Imusin, Mr. Adenaya, expressed profound appreciation to Hon. Adegbesan for his longstanding humanitarian spirit, describing the textbook donation as a welcome intervention that would benefit both students and teachers and enhance academic achievement. He also appealed for the construction of a school hall to further improve the school’s learning environment. Dignitaries present during the exercise included Hon. Boye Kasali, House of Assembly candidate for Ijebu East State Constituency; Hon. Adebutu Balogun, APC Chairman in Ijebu East; Hon. Bọlá Badejo; Giwa Odejayi; Mr. Dayo Idowu; and several other APC leaders.
