ADC Welcomes Kwankwaso’s Defection as a Boost

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has welcomed the defection of former Kano State Governor and the 2023 presidential candidate of the NNPP, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, describing the move as a major boost to its growing coalition ahead of future elections.
In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party noted that Kwankwaso’s decision reflects a growing desire among Nigerians for a new direction and credible leadership.
According to the ADC, Senator Kwankwaso has called on his supporters across the country to join the party, with a noticeable surge already recorded on its online registration platform within 24 hours of the announcement.
The defection event was witnessed by several prominent political figures, including David Mark, Rauf Aregbesola, Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, Liyel Imoke, and Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, among others.
The party added that the increasing membership signals growing public support for its vision and called on Nigerians to join its push for a better future.
