AdeSeun Cole Gbadebo Foundation Unveils Proposal for 500 Bed Oba Adedotun Gbadebo Medical Village in Abeokuta
Abeokuta, Ogun State, November 12, 2025
A major step toward expanding world class healthcare in Ogun State took place on Wednesday as the AdeSeun Cole Gbadebo Foundation (TACGF) formally presented its proposal for the 500 Bed Oba Adedotun Gbadebo Medical Village to the Alake of Egbaland in Council at the Alake Palace, Abeokuta.

The presentation team included Keshinro Sulayman Oluwasesan, South West Anchor-Man to the Special Adviser on Finance to Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, and the Senior Legislative Aide to the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The proposed medical village, designed to sit on over five acres of land in Abeokuta, is named in honour of Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, Okukenu IV, Alake of Egbaland, as part of activities commemorating his 20th Coronation Anniversary.

The project is driven by Capt. Prince AdeSeun Cole Gbadebo, a senior officer in the United States Army and a royal son of the Gbadebo dynasty. Stakeholders describe the initiative as a landmark healthcare investment aimed at strengthening medical services, expanding access to quality care, and providing a teaching and research environment for future medical professionals.
The design of the medical village followed a detailed study of Egbaland conducted by Arc. Tahir and Arc. Israel, the architects responsible for conceptualizing and designing the proposed facility.
The medical village will feature modern specialist centres, research units, training facilities, and support infrastructure that reflect global best practices. The Foundation noted that the project aligns with its long term vision of enhancing healthcare delivery and promoting sustainable development.
The presentation marks the beginning of further engagements with government and legislative authorities to secure the necessary support for implementation.
