AFCRD 2026: COAS JOINS HMOD, CDS AND SERVICE CHIEFS AT REGIMENTAL DINNER NIGHT

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, NAM, earlier this evening joined the Special Guest of Honour, the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), OFR; the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Olufemi Oluyede; and other Service Chiefs at a Regimental Dinner Night organised in honour of serving personnel and fallen heroes, as part of activities marking the Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day (AFCRD) 2026.
The solemn yet celebratory event brought together top military and civilian dignitaries, including the Chairman, Senate Committee on Defence, Distinguished Senator Ahmed Lawan; the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Lieutenant General E. A. P. Undianye; Principal Staff Officers from Defence and Service Headquarters; heads of Defence and Service establishments; as well as senior officers, both serving and retired.
The Regimental Dinner Night underscored the nation’s enduring appreciation for the sacrifices of members of the Armed Forces, while reinforcing esprit de corps, tradition, and unity across the services in commemoration of AFCRD 2026.
