Heres why Andor got delayed by Disney The TV series, Andor was set to begin August 31 but has now been delayed to September 21. There has been no official explanation about the reason for the delay but some facts has it that it could be as a result from Disney trying to avoid too much controversies between its star wars and Marvel cinematic universe content. A little picture of what Disney might be trying to avert came up in the month of June, which showed what it was like to have both major franchises of Obi Wan Kenobi and Ms. Marvel release new episodes of live-action shows on the same day. This might be one of the potential reasons for Ms. Marvel getting low views. Though, Disney and Lucasfilm hasnt explained the reason for the premiere change but it was proposed, it might have something to do with Disney+ and its release model.
The star wars show, Andor will lunch with a 3 episode at once on its debut. This would be the first time of releasing 3 episodes at once as a 1 or 2 premiere is known to be the normal release. This will be the longest series out of the live-action Star Wars shows with a total of 12 episodes in the first season.
A 2 minutes long released trailer gave a little glimpse of how the movie is going to be as Diego Luna, takes up the role of Cassian Andor on his journey to discover the difference he can make. The TV series brings about the tale of the escalating rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. Its a period surrounded with danger, deception and conspiracy where Cassian will begin the journey that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero. With a confirmation of a lot of the series actors, we still do not have a wide knowledge of all the characters that would be portrayed coupled with the newbies. For some of the returning faces, we have Diego Luna (the main character) acting as Cassian Andor, Forest Whitaker acting as Saw Gerrera, Genevieve OReilly acting as Mon Mothma, Adria Arjona acting as Bix Caleen. Some of the new characters who are named are Anton Valensi as Ben and Alex Ferms as Sergeant Kostek
Going by the new announced date, Andor will be available, September 21 on Disney+. This is so as Disney+ has been expanding to many countries with a current access by 34 countries.
