

APC Inaugurates Campaign Council for Remo By-Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially inaugurated its Campaign Council and Committee ahead of the August 16 by-election for the Remo Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

The position became vacant following the death of Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga, who previously represented Ikenne, Remo North, and Sagamu Local Government Areas.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the Multipurpose Hall of Akarigbo Palace in Sagamu, was presided over by Governor Dapo Abiodun, who stressed the importance of party unity and grassroots mobilization to ensure victory for the party’s candidate, Hon. Adesola Elegbeji.
Governor Abiodun noted that “APC remains the party to beat, and with our collective effort, Elegbeji’s victory is assured.”
Campaign Advisory Council Leadership
The Campaign Advisory Council will be chaired by Chief Yemi Sanusi, with Senator Lekan Mustapha serving as Vice Chairman. Hon. Yemi Adelani was appointed Director-General, and Hon. Ola Oresanya will serve as Deputy DG.

The by-election is expected to be keenly contested, but APC leaders are confident that their comprehensive grassroots strategy, led by a robust council and committee, will deliver a decisive win.
