APC Presidential Primary Election Peaceful In Bayelsa State

Yenagoa, Bayelsa State — May 24, 2026

The ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries for the 2027 general election in Bayelsa State have been peaceful, with party members turning out across various wards to cast their votes.
The two presidential aspirants on the ballot are President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Stanley Usifor.
Correspondent Timinipre Ohia reports that at Ward 8 headquarters in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, party members gathered in an orderly manner to participate in the exercise.

Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri, who monitored the process, commended party members for their peaceful and orderly conduct during the primary election.

He noted that with the successful conduct of the APC presidential primaries and the expected emergence of the party’s presidential candidate, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party is prepared to secure victory in the presidential election in Bayelsa State during the 2027 general elections.

Similarly, reports indicate that the presidential primary election has remained hitch-free in other wards across the state, with security personnel and party officials ensuring a smooth voting process.
