APC Presidential Primary Election

BIRNIN KEBBI, KEBBI STATE — MAY 24, 2026

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election is currently ongoing across Kebbi State in a peaceful and orderly atmosphere.
Governor Nasir Idris, alongside the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, monitored the exercise in some parts of the state to ensure a smooth and transparent electoral process.

Reports from various polling units indicate a significant turnout of party members and supporters, while security personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order throughout the exercise.

Party officials expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election, noting that the process has so far remained hitch-free in most areas visited. Voters were seen arriving early at designated polling centres to participate in the exercise.
The APC presidential primary is expected to determine the party’s candidate for the 2027 presidential election, with party faithful across the country participating in the process.

Observers in the state commended the peaceful conduct of party members and the level of coordination among electoral officials and security agencies overseeing the exercise.
