APC WINS BY-ELECTIONS FOR THE UNGOGO AND KANO MUNICIPAL CONSTITUENCIES IN KANO STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY

The (APC) has recorded a decisive victory in the by-elections for the Ungogo and Kano Municipal constituencies in the .

The by-elections, conducted across the two constituencies in , saw a significant turnout of voters, with the APC candidates securing clear mandates at the polls.

In Kano Municipal Constituency, the APC candidate, Aliyu Nabil Daneji, polled 7,484 votes to clinch the seat. The Returning Officer, Professor Ibrahim Tajo Siraj, officially announced the result and declared Daneji duly elected, having satisfied the requirements of the law.

Similarly, in Ungogo Constituency, the APC candidate, Aminu Sa’ad, emerged victorious after recording 8,975 votes. The Returning Officer, Professor Ali Tijjani Abdullahi, announced the outcome and returned him elected, affirming the party’s strong performance in the constituency.
The victories further consolidate the APC’s presence in the state legislature and are seen by party stakeholders as a reaffirmation of public confidence in its leadership and policies within the state.

Party supporters in both constituencies celebrated the outcomes, describing the results as a reflection of grassroots mobilization and sustained engagement with the electorate.

The newly elected lawmakers are expected to be sworn in at the Kano State House of Assembly in the coming days.
