BENUE STATE GOVERNOR ALIA CONGRATULATES PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU AND ALL WINNERS OF APC PRIMARY ELECTION

MAKURDI, BENUE STATE – MAY 24, 2026

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on emerging as the standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 general elections, describing the victory as well-deserved.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, Governor Alia also extended warm congratulations to all candidates who emerged victorious in the APC primary elections conducted across the country.

The Governor noted that the emergence of the successful candidates reflects the confidence reposed in them by party faithful and stakeholders within the APC.
Governor Alia particularly commended the National Working Committee of the APC, led by Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, for providing purposeful leadership and ensuring a peaceful atmosphere throughout the exercise, which culminated in transparent and successful primaries across the federation.
He stated that the smooth conduct of the primaries clearly demonstrates the growing strength, internal democracy, and unity within the APC family.
According to the Governor, the successful exercise has further strengthened the party’s position ahead of the 2027 general elections and reaffirmed the confidence Nigerians continue to place in the APC-led administration.

Governor Alia expressed optimism that the APC would continue to wax stronger and remain committed to delivering purposeful leadership, good governance, and sustainable development to Nigerians.

He urged all party members and supporters to remain united and focused on advancing the ideals and vision of the party for the benefit of the nation.
