
In the early hours of this morning, a tactical team from the Surulere Police Division responded to a distress call reporting the presence of armed men on Agoro Street, Mushin. The swift action of the police led to the arrest of Sherrif Mustapha, aged 42, and Suturat Lateef, aged 28, while one other suspect managed to escape.


Following the apprehension, the suspects directed the police to 1, Moshalashi Street, Mushin. A thorough search of the premises resulted in the recovery of a significant cache of weapons and other items. The list of recovered items includes:
- Two AK-47 rifles
- One K2 Assault rifle
- One Red Rufer rifle
- Three pump action rifles
- Two locally made single barrel pistols
- Five magazines
- Fifty-seven live cartridges
- Seventy 5.56 live ammunition rounds
- Twenty-seven 9mm ammunition rounds
- One expended 5.56 ammunition round
- One dagger
- Three walkie talkies
- Nine international passports
The police have launched an investigation to uncover more details about the suspects’ activities and to track down the escaped individual. The authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
The Lagos State Police Command emphasized the importance of community cooperation in maintaining security. “If you see something, say something. Security is everyone’s business,” a spokesperson for the command stated.
