Katsina, Katsina State — November 16, 2025
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) unwavering commitment to defending the nation by eliminating insurgents, terrorists, and criminal elements that threaten peace and stability.
The declaration was made during an operational visit to the Air Component of Operation FANSAN YAMMA at the Forward Operating Base in Katsina, where Air Marshal Aneke charged personnel to intensify efforts in line with President Bola Tinubu’s directive to decisively neutralize all threats to the safety and security of Nigerians.
According to a statement by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF Headquarters, the Air Chief highlighted that the unprecedented support of the Federal Government—through the acquisition of modern platforms, advanced weaponry, and enhanced professional training—places a solemn responsibility on the Nigerian Air Force to restore peace and reclaim every territory challenged by insurgents and criminal networks.
Air Marshal Aneke commended the troops for their courage, precision, and professionalism despite the operational challenges in the region. He urged them to sustain the operational momentum, ensuring that every mission reflects the NAF’s core values of discipline, service, and patriotism.
The visit to Operation FANSAN YAMMA Sector 2 reaffirms the Nigerian Air Force’s resolve, under Air Marshal Aneke’s leadership, to pursue decisive, intelligence-driven, and precision-led operations, safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity and protecting its citizens from threats posed by insurgents and criminal elements.
