COMMANDER TRADOC NA ADDRESSES CANDIDATES FOR CAPTAIN TO MAJOR PRACTICAL PROMOTION EXAMINATION

Port Harcourt, Rivers State — October 5, 2025

Major General Kevin Aligbe, Commander of Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC NA), Nigerian Army, delivered a motivating address to the candidates and Directing Staff participating in the Captain to Major Practical Promotion Examination 2025. The event took place on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the Lieutenant General Faruq Yahaya Badminton Court, Headquarters 6 Division Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.


In his opening remarks as Examination President, Major General Aligbe congratulated the candidates on reaching this significant milestone in their military careers. He underscored the importance of the examination as a rigorous and impartial measure of their professional competence and readiness to take on greater responsibilities. He urged all candidates to approach the examination with utmost seriousness and professionalism, emphasizing that the tests will evaluate their logical reasoning and report-writing abilities—skills critical for leadership roles.


The Examination President further charged the Directing Staff with maintaining strict objectivity, fairness, and realism throughout the examination process. He issued a stern warning that any form of malpractice would not be tolerated and called on candidates to fully comply with the examination rules and regulations.
Representing Major General Emmanuel Eric Emekah, General Officer Commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army and Land Component Commander of the Joint Task Force (South-South) Operation Delta Safe, Brigadier General Dawha Emmanuel Adamu extended a warm welcome to the candidates and commended the Examination Panel for their professionalism. He reinforced the values of discipline, integrity, and adherence to the Nigerian Army’s code of conduct as essential qualities for all participants.


Brigadier General Adamu urged candidates to take the examination seriously, avoid any malpractice, and uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and excellence. He also reminded the Directing Staff of their responsibility to report any unprofessional behavior to preserve the credibility of the examination.


The session concluded with heartfelt wishes for success to all candidates and a strong call to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity throughout the examination process.
