Comptroller-General of Immigration Receives British High Commission Delegation in Abuja

The Comptroller-General of the (NIS), KN Nandap, pcc, mmis, fsmn, fspsp, yesterday received a delegation from the , Abuja, during a working visit to the Service Headquarters in Abuja.
The delegation was led by the Justice and Home Affairs Adviser, Ms. Sorrel Evans. The visit underscored the strong and enduring relationship between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, particularly in the area of migration governance and border management.
During the meeting, discussions centred on strengthening collaboration between both countries in key areas including migrant returns and reintegration, bilateral visa agreements, migration management, and ongoing efforts to curb organised immigration crimes. Both parties explored strategies to enhance operational cooperation and intelligence sharing in addressing transnational migration challenges.
The Comptroller-General expressed appreciation to the delegation for the visit and commended the continued partnership between the two nations. He reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to deepening cooperation with the United Kingdom in advancing effective migration governance and promoting mutually beneficial bilateral relations.
The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to sustain constructive engagement and reinforce collaborative frameworks aimed at ensuring safe, orderly, and regular migration between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
