DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS TO PROBE DICON EXPLOSION; CONDOLES WITH FAMILIES AND FRIENDS OF VICTIMS

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, has extended heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those who tragically lost their lives in the recent explosion at the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) facility. He also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the incident.
In an official statement released today by the Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, the Defence Headquarters confirmed that the situation is now under control and urged the public not to panic.
Brigadier General Gusau reassured the surrounding community that DICON adheres to strict operational safety standards. He further emphasized that a full-scale investigation will be launched to uncover the cause of the explosion and to implement measures that will prevent a recurrence.
