The Sunday Kelvin Aneke, Chief of the Air Staff, on March 11, 2026, joined the Honourable Minister of Defence, Christopher Gwabin Musa, and the Chief of Defence Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, alongside other Service Chiefs for a high-level operational review in Abuja.
The strategic meeting was held at the Ship House and focused on strengthening joint counter-insurgency operations in Nigeria’s North-East region.
During the session, military leaders deliberated on enhancing coordination among the different branches of the armed forces, sustaining intelligence-driven operations against terrorist networks, and improving integrated military strategies to consolidate recent operational gains.
The engagement also emphasized the need to maintain pressure on insurgent groups while ensuring the protection of civilian populations in affected areas.
The meeting reaffirmed the unified resolve of the Armed Forces of Nigeria to achieve decisive outcomes in ongoing security operations and strengthen national security through coordinated joint operations.
