Edo Election: INEC Announces Start of Collation of Results at 10 a.m.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that the collation of results for the Edo State Governorship election will commence at 10:00 a.m. today, Sunday, September 22, 2024.

This update was provided by Dr. Anugbum Onuoha, the Resident Electoral Commissioner of Edo State, in a statement addressing the public, political stakeholders, and election observers. Dr. Onuoha assured that the collation process is being conducted transparently and in full compliance with INEC’s regulations and electoral laws.

He added, “We appreciate the patience and cooperation of all parties involved as we strive to ensure a credible and accurate outcome of this important election.”

INEC also reiterated its commitment to delivering a free, fair, and transparent election process. Dr. Onuoha urged all stakeholders and citizens of Edo State to maintain peace and order as the collation process comes to a conclusion.

With voting completed and the results now being processed, all eyes are on INEC for the announcement of the final results that will determine the next governor of Edo State.
