EFCC Arraigns Man for Alleged N21m Theft in Lagos
Ikeja, Lagos – February 18, 2026
The Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 of the (EFCC), on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, arraigned one for an alleged N21 million theft before of the sitting in .
The defendant was brought before the court on a two-count charge bordering on stealing to the tune of N21,000,000 (Twenty-One Million Naira). According to the prosecution, Olawale allegedly misappropriated the said sum, an offence that contravenes provisions of the criminal laws of Lagos State.
During the proceedings, the charges were read to the defendant, who pleaded not guilty to the allegations. Following his plea, the prosecution requested a trial date and urged the court to remand the defendant pending the commencement of trial.
Justice Okunuga thereafter adjourned the matter to a later date for the commencement of trial and ruled on issues relating to bail and custody of the defendant.
The EFCC reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that financial crimes are thoroughly investigated and prosecuted in line with its mandate to rid the nation of economic and financial crimes.
