In its concerted efforts to ensure electoral integrity and tackle voter inducement, the (EFCC) has deployed its operatives across the six area councils in the (FCT) to monitor the Saturday, February 21, 2026 polls.

Executive Chairman of the Commission, , charged the officers to maintain strict surveillance across all council areas and ensure that incidents of vote buying and other electoral malpractices are prevented.
He emphasized the Commission’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the electoral process, stressing that credible elections are fundamental to sustaining Nigeria’s democratic values.

The deployed officers are strategically positioned across the FCT to monitor activities before, during, and after the elections. Their presence is aimed at deterring financial crimes related to the polls and ensuring transparency, accountability, and adherence to electoral laws.

The Commission reiterates its resolve to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to promote free, fair, and credible elections.
