Federal Government Donates 20 Trucks of Rice for Nationwide Distribution
Abuja, Nigeria – The Federal Government has announced the donation of 20 trucks of rice to be distributed to the 36 state governors and the Federal Capital Territory, aimed at supporting the most vulnerable individuals across Nigeria.

Speaking to State House reporters following the Federal Executive Council meeting on Monday, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, highlighted the government’s commitment to addressing food security challenges.
“The rice is intended for the most vulnerable individuals in Nigeria,” Minister Idris emphasized. “The Tinubu administration is dedicated to ensuring that all Nigerians have access to food.”
The donation comes as part of broader efforts by the Federal Government to alleviate the impact of rising food prices and economic hardships faced by many Nigerians. Each state governor and the FCT are expected to oversee the fair and efficient distribution of the rice to ensure it reaches those in greatest need.
The announcement has been met with cautious optimism, as citizens await the effective implementation of this initiative to mitigate hunger and improve food access nationwide.
