FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO STIMULATE ECONOMY THROUGH STANDARD ROAD NETWORKS

The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to easing transportation challenges and stimulating economic growth through the provision of standard road networks across the country.


The assurance was given by the Special Adviser to the President on Community Engagement, Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai, during a media tour to inspect ongoing Federal Government road projects in Katsina State.
Yakasai explained that the development of quality road infrastructure remains a central pillar of the administration’s economic recovery and growth agenda. According to him, improved road networks will enhance mobility, reduce travel time, boost trade, and strengthen connectivity between rural and urban communities.


He noted that efficient transportation systems are critical to unlocking economic potential, as they facilitate the movement of goods and services, attract investment, and create employment opportunities for citizens.
The presidential aide further emphasized that the Federal Government is committed to ensuring that all ongoing road projects meet required standards and are completed within stipulated timelines to deliver maximum benefits to the people.


He added that the inspection tour was part of efforts to promote transparency, assess project implementation, and ensure that communities directly benefit from government interventions.
Muhammad Yahaya reports that the policy is aimed at improving livelihoods and strengthening economic activities nationwide, as the government continues to prioritize infrastructure development as a catalyst for sustainable national growth.
