Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, Announces Cabinet Reshuffle

In a bid to enhance administrative efficiency and effectiveness in Rivers State, His Excellency, Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle, as announced by Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, Secretary to the Rivers State Government.

The reshuffle involves the reassignment of two key positions within the state government:

  1. Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor SAN, DSSRS: Formerly serving as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Prof. Adangor has been deployed to the Ministry of Special Duties under the Governor’s Office.
  2. Barr. Isaac Kamalu, DSSRS: Formerly holding the position of Commissioner for Finance, Barr. Kamalu has been reassigned to the Ministry of Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment.

Both officials are directed to commence their duties in their new capacities immediately, with a mandate to ensure a smooth transition by promptly handing over to their respective Permanent Secretaries.

This reshuffle underscores Governor Fubara’s commitment to optimizing governance and fostering development across Rivers State. It reflects a strategic realignment aimed at aligning skills and expertise with specific areas of focus within the state government’s agenda.

The Governor expresses confidence in the abilities of Prof. Adangor and Barr. Kamalu to excel in their new roles and contribute to the state’s ongoing efforts towards socioeconomic development.

All handover processes are expected to be completed without delay, as the reshuffle takes immediate effect.

The Governor anticipates that this reshuffle will further strengthen the state government’s capacity to deliver on its mandate and serve the people of Rivers State effectively.
