HON. WALIU OWODE IFEDOLAPO, HON. AKEEM (JESU OGBERE), AND AWOOF TEAM ATTEND ELERINMOSA UNITY CUP FINAL IN OLOOJI RESERVE AREA

The grand finale of the Elerinmosa Unity Cup took place with high energy and excitement in the Olooji Reserve Area, graced by prominent political figures, Hon. Waliu Owode Ifedolapo, Chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture, Ogun State House of Assembly, and Hon. Akeem Adeniran, popularly known as Jesu Ogbere, the PDP Chairmanship flagbearer for Ijebu East Local Government Area. They were accompanied by the AWOOF team, further adding to the prestige of the occasion.

This event marked the second edition of the Elerinmosa Unity Cup, a local football competition aimed at fostering unity and nurturing young football talents in the region. Olooji FC emerged as the tournament champions, while Young Star FC secured second place, and Basiru FC finished in third place.

The top three teams were rewarded with impressive prizes, presented by Hon. Waliu Owode, who commended the players for their dedication and sportsmanship throughout the competition. His presence, alongside Hon. Akeem Adeniran, further highlighted the importance of youth engagement and support for grassroots sports.

In addition to the thrilling football action, the event offered a lively atmosphere, with spectators treated to an array of food, drinks, music, and dancing. The vibrant celebrations underscored the significance of sports as a unifying factor in the community.

Notably, Hon. Waliu Owode took the opportunity to scout and select standout players from the competition who will soon be joining his proposed football academy. This initiative, aimed at nurturing local talent, is expected to provide young players with opportunities to develop their skills and pursue their passion for football on a professional level.

The Elerinmosa Unity Cup has once again proven to be a powerful platform for promoting peace, unity, and sports development within the Olooji community and Ijebu East at large.
