INEC Launches Voter Mobilization Campaign to Boost Registration in Gombe State
Gombe, September 23, 2025
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially launched a comprehensive voter mobilization campaign in Gombe State, aimed at increasing participation in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
The campaign kicked off with a briefing by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) at the INEC state headquarters in Gombe. In his remarks, the REC commended the campaign team for their dedication and expressed appreciation to the public for the encouraging response recorded so far. He emphasized that the initiative is part of INEC’s broader strategy to ensure that every eligible Nigerian, especially the youth, is registered and prepared to vote in the upcoming general elections.
As part of the launch, a vibrant voter sensitization road walk was held, starting from the INEC office and moving through key streets to the main roundabout in Gombe metropolis. The walk drew considerable attention, with residents and onlookers engaging with campaign materials and messages that highlighted the importance of voter registration and participation in the democratic process.
INEC officials confirmed that the road walk is just the beginning of a statewide outreach campaign. Similar activities are scheduled to take place in various public spaces, including markets, schools, places of worship, and other high-traffic areas across Gombe State. These efforts aim to ensure that the voter registration exercise reaches as many eligible citizens as possible.
The commission is calling on all unregistered citizens, those who need to update their details, and individuals who have yet to collect their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) to take advantage of the opportunity.
“Democracy thrives when citizens actively participate,” the REC stated. “We urge everyone to register, update their information if necessary, and collect their PVCs to be ready for the next elections.”
The ongoing CVR exercise remains open at designated INEC offices and approved registration centers across the state.
For more information on registration locations or requirements, residents are encouraged to visit the INEC office in Gombe or consult official INEC platforms.
