In a letter dated December 7, 2025, addressed to the Fusengbuwa Ruling House leadership, the Oloriebi of the Jadiara Royal House, Otunba Prince Akinola Odedina, stated that K1 has “no genealogical lineage to the Jadiara Royal House.”

The clarification follows public reports that K1 obtained a nomination form from the Fusengbuwa Ruling House to pursue his interest in the Awujale stool through the Jadiara lineage.

According to Otunba Odedina, the musician has not presented himself or any documents for verification.

“We in Jadiara Royal House have waited for him to show up with his form and whatever documents he may have to prove his linkage. He is yet to show up,” the letter stated.

He added that the royal family decided to speak publicly due to growing public interest.

“It is necessary to release this information because the issue has become a matter of public interest,” Odedina noted.

The letter was copied to key government officials, including Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, the Attorney General, and the Awujale Interregnum Administration Council.

The Jadiara Royal House said it will continue to update the public as events unfold.
