Kaduna State Pushes for 200 Million Dollars Poultry Investment in China
Beijing, China — December 8, 2025
The Kaduna State Government is ramping up efforts to secure major international investment for its proposed 200 million dollars poultry development project, as Governor Uba Sani continues a high-level working visit to Beijing, China.
As part of the visit, Governor Sani toured top-tier agricultural and livestock facilities, including CP Foods Layers and Eggs Ltd., a global leader in poultry production with an impressive daily output of nearly three million eggs. The tour provided insights into large-scale production technologies and operational models capable of transforming Kaduna’s agricultural landscape.
According to the Governor, adopting such models is critical to boosting food security, expanding the state’s agro-industrial capacity, and generating sustainable employment across the poultry value chain.
In addition to poultry-focused engagements, Governor Sani visited Beijing Doudian Yisheng Halal Meat Industry Co., Ltd., where discussions centered on strengthening Kaduna’s livestock value chain, enhancing processing capacities, and attracting credible foreign partners to key agricultural sectors.
Governor Sani expressed gratitude for the support of the federal government delegation led by Joseph Tegba, acknowledging their role in facilitating strategic engagements. He also extended appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Government of the People’s Republic of China for their ongoing cooperation and commitment to advancing agricultural development in Nigeria.
With sustained collaboration and investment, Kaduna State hopes to position itself as a leading hub for poultry and livestock production in West Africa.
