Katsina Governor Radda Presents Admission Letters to 68 Scholarship Recipients Headed for China
Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has officially presented admission letters and international passports to 68 students selected for the state’s Special Foreign Scholarship Program. The students, who will depart for China tomorrow, are set to pursue advanced studies in Artificial Intelligence and Bio-economy under a fully sponsored scholarship program.

The initiative, which selects two students from each of the 34 local governments in Katsina, aims to equip students with cutting-edge skills in technology and science. The recipients were chosen through a merit-based examination, with only students from public schools eligible to compete.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Governor Radda emphasized the importance of investing in education and preparing the state’s youth for the challenges and opportunities in emerging fields. “This scholarship program is part of our administration’s commitment to the development of our youth and the long-term prosperity of Katsina State,” the governor said.
He added that the selection process was competitive and transparent, ensuring that only the brightest and most deserving students were chosen to represent the state abroad.
As the students prepare to embark on this international academic journey, Governor Radda encouraged them to focus on their studies and return with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to the technological and economic advancement of Katsina State and Nigeria as a whole.
The fully funded program is part of a broader effort by the Katsina State government to foster educational excellence and position the state as a leader in science and technology. The students are expected to begin their studies in China within the coming weeks, marking a significant step in the state’s ongoing efforts to improve education and drive economic development.
