Katsina SSA Digital Media, Isah Miqdad, to Present Fully Funded Scholarships and Bursaries to Local Students
Honorable Isah Miqdad, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Digital Media to Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State, has announced the upcoming presentation of fully sponsored scholarship and bursary awards to students in Katsina Local Government.

In a statement, Miqdad emphasized the administration’s commitment to supporting education during these challenging times, particularly for disadvantaged students. A total of 27 students from Katsina Local Government will receive fully funded scholarships to pursue National Certificate of Education (NCE) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programs. This initiative aims to empower students who might otherwise struggle to access higher education.
Additionally, 60 university students will be granted a scholarship of ₦20,000 each, while 140 students from polytechnics and the Federal College of Education will receive ₦10,000 each in support of their education.
“This initiative reflects our dedication to advancing education as a means to alleviate poverty and improve the quality of life for our citizens,” Miqdad stated. “Beneficiaries of this program have been carefully selected from underprivileged backgrounds across the 12 wards of Katsina Local Government to ensure that those most in need receive the necessary support.”
The scholarship and bursary program is part of a broader strategy by the Katsina State government to invest in education and create opportunities for students, particularly those from disadvantaged communities, to pursue their academic dreams.
This effort follows a series of educational initiatives launched by the state, reinforcing its commitment to improving access to education and promoting human capital development as a cornerstone of economic and social progress.
