NAF PRECISION STRIKES SHATTER HIGH-GROUND TERRORIST STRONGHOLD IN TSAFE, ZAMFARA
Tsafe, Zamfara State — November 16, 2025
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Air Component of the Joint Task Force of Operation FANSAN YAMMA has recorded a significant operational victory after executing precision air interdiction missions on 14 November 2025 at the notorious Sauri bandit camp in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to a statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operation was launched following extensive intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) activities. These surveillance efforts confirmed intense terrorist activity at the site, where criminals had established a high-ground hideout used both as a defensive stronghold and a logistics hub. The facility also harbored rustled livestock concealed within the rugged terrain.
Armed with this intelligence, the Air Component conducted multiple coordinated strike passes on the designated targets. The precision strikes achieved direct and devastating impacts, dispersing surviving terrorists attempting to flee into the surrounding bush. Follow-on engagements ensured that these individuals were tracked and neutralized, preventing regrouping or escape.
The successful mission marks another major step in the ongoing campaign to dismantle terrorist networks in the North West. It also reaffirms the Joint Task Force’s commitment—alongside the Nigerian Air Force—to denying criminals any operational sanctuary.
The statement emphasized that the operation demonstrates the unwavering resolve of Operation FANSAN YAMMA to enhance security in Zamfara State while reinforcing nationwide efforts to restore peace, stability, and freedom of movement for law-abiding citizens across the region.
