NAF WIPES OUT ISWAP AND BANDITS IN BORNO, KWARA, KATSINA, ZAMFARA, AND KADUNA STATES
Abuja, Nigeria – November 11, 2025
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its nationwide counterterrorism and counter-banditry campaign, conducting a series of precision airstrikes that have decimated terrorist and criminal enclaves across several northern states.
According to a statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the operations resulted in the neutralization of Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Mallam Fatori and Shuwaram, both in Borno State, as well as the destruction of bandit hideouts in Garin Dandi and Chigogo in Kwara State, and Zango Hill in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The statement further revealed that the coordinated air missions mark a decisive phase in the ongoing joint military efforts under Operation HADIN KAI and Operation FANSAN YAMMA, aimed at dismantling terrorist and criminal networks operating across Nigeria’s northern theatres, including parts of Zamfara and Kaduna States.
Air Commodore Ejodame noted that the recent wave of precision strikes reflects the NAF’s strengthened operational tempo, following the strategic directives of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Aneke. He emphasized that the success of these missions demonstrates the Air Force’s commitment to intelligence-driven airpower, ensuring that every strike is both effective and deliberate in degrading the enemy’s capability.
“Each mission reaffirms NAF’s resolve to project smarter and intelligence-driven airpower to deliver purposeful lethality against insurgents and criminal elements while safeguarding the lives and property of citizens,” the statement read.
The NAF spokesperson added that these operations not only degrade the operational capacity of terrorists and bandits but also reinforce the confidence of local communities and ground forces engaged in ongoing joint operations.
The Nigerian Air Force reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining pressure on all terrorist and criminal formations across the country, assuring Nigerians that it remains resolute in restoring peace and security in affected regions.
