NIGERIA POLICE ARRESTS SUSPECTED KIDNAPPER, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE

The Nasarawa State Police Command has recorded another significant breakthrough in its ongoing efforts to combat criminal activities across the state.
According to a statement issued by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, a 32-year-old suspect identified as Saleh Hassan, a native of Rugan Hassan in the Audu Community of Awe Local Government Area, was arrested following credible intelligence.
Upon his arrest, a search was conducted which led to the recovery of an AK-47 rifle and four rounds of live 7.56mm ammunition.
The police confirmed that the suspect, along with the recovered exhibits, has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for discreet investigation and further necessary action.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, reiterated the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents in the state. He also urged members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to support ongoing operations against crime.
The Command emphasized that it remains resolute in its mandate to rid the state of criminal elements and maintain law and order.
