Nigerian Air Force, France Advance Strategic Defence Engagement

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening bilateral defence cooperation with France following a courtesy visit by the Defence Attaché of France, Colonel Stephane Useo, to the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, at Headquarters NAF, Abuja.

The engagement highlighted the importance of sustained military-to-military collaboration in enhancing capacity building, specialised training, and operational synergy in response to evolving security dynamics.

During the meeting, the Chief of the Air Staff emphasized that strategic partnerships remain essential for improving professionalism, strengthening institutional resilience, and ensuring the effective application of airpower in addressing contemporary security challenges.

He expressed confidence that continued cooperation between Nigeria and France would further boost defence capabilities while promoting shared security objectives at national, regional, and global levels.

The visit forms part of ongoing defence diplomacy efforts aimed at fostering stronger international partnerships and enhancing the Nigerian Air Force’s operational effectiveness in safeguarding national security.
