In Borno State, troops swiftly responded to actionable intelligence, engaging ISWAP fighters in Kulukawiya Village, Nganzai Local Government Area. The encounter resulted in the elimination of a terrorist and the seizure of a loaded AK-47 rifle. During a subsequent pursuit, troops rescued a child abducted by the fleeing terrorists, reuniting the young boy with his father, Alhaji Musa.
In Kaduna State, troops promptly responded to a distress call from Agunu Dutse Village, Kachia Local Government Area, where residents were under siege by terrorists. A swift search and rescue operation led to the successful liberation of six hostages, including two women and four children. The rescued individuals were unharmed and joyfully reunited with their families.
Additionally, troops on a fighting patrol received information about terrorists lurking in Amale village, Kaduna North Local Government Area. Collaborating with local vigilantes, the troops engaged the terrorists, forcing them to abandon their firearms. As a result, one AK-47 rifle, a homemade gun, and a machete were recovered.
