NMDPRA: Public Notice

Abuja, Nigeria, 3 February 2026,

The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) is compelled to issue this public disclaimer to alert Nigerians to the activities of some unscrupulous persons who are exploiting young, economically vulnerable, and unsuspecting citizens by inducing them to part with huge sums of money for purported employment opportunities within the Authority.

These fraudulent actors issue bogus “Letters of Employment,” make empty promises, and offer non-existent positions, all under the false pretense of recruiting on behalf of the NMDPRA. These acts are believed to be the handiwork of fake recruitment syndicates established to mastermind and perpetuate such criminal activities.
The Authority wishes to state categorically that the NMDPRA is NOT conducting any recruitment exercise at this time. Neither is the Authority undertaking any form of employment into its services at any level. For the avoidance of doubt, any future recruitment exercise by the NMDPRA will be duly announced and conducted strictly in accordance with extant rules and regulations governing recruitment in the Nigerian Public Service.

Accordingly, members of the public are strongly advised to disregard these spurious claims by unscrupulous individuals whose sole objective is to defraud Nigerians and cast aspersions on the Authority.

For current, accurate, and up-to-date information regarding the activities of the NMDPRA, the public is advised to refer only to the Authority’s official website, www.nmdpra.gov.ng, as well as its verified social media platforms on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
