Ogun Finance Commissioner Hosts Grand Ramadan Lecture, Prays for Ijebu Unity and Progress

Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State – March 29, 2025– The serene Government Reserved Area (GRA) of Ijebu-Ode witnessed a remarkable gathering of political leaders, Islamic clerics, and community stakeholders as Hon. Dapo Okubadejo, Ogun State Commissioner for Finance, hosted a special Ramadan Lecture and Lailatul Qadr prayer at his residence on Friday, March 28, 2025.  

The spiritually uplifting event brought together prominent figures including Hon. Femi Omotayo, Hon. Oluwasesan Omotayo Oduwole, and Alhaji Omologere, the APC Party Chairman in Ijebu-Ode, among other distinguished guests. The evening’s program combined religious observance with reflections on community development and the proposed Ijebu State creation.  

A Night of Spiritual Reflection and Unity  

The Commissioner’s residence was transformed into a center of spiritual enlightenment as renowned Islamic scholars delivered lectures on the significance of Lailatul Qadr (Night of Power) during the holy month of Ramadan. The atmosphere was charged with devotion as attendees engaged in special prayers for the peace and prosperity of Ijebuland.  

In his closing address, Hon. Okubadejo expressed profound gratitude to all attendees, particularly acknowledging the presence of party leaders, traditional rulers, and Islamic clerics. “Your presence here tonight demonstrates our shared commitment to both spiritual growth and the development of our beloved Ijebuland,” the Finance Commissioner stated.  

Passionate Appeal for Ijebu Unity  

The Commissioner used the platform to reiterate his unwavering dedication to the progress of Ijebuland. With visible emotion, he offered special prayers for:  

1. The successful creation of the proposed Ijebu State  

2. Continued peace and tranquility across Ijebu communities  

3. Wisdom and good health for traditional rulers and political leaders  

4. Economic prosperity for all residents  

“Tonight, we pray not just as Muslims, but as proud sons and daughters of Ijebuland,” Hon. Okubadejo emphasized. “Our collective destiny is tied to our unity and shared vision for development.”
