Ogun State Approves Construction of Additional Roads in Ifo LGA
Abeokuta, Nigeria – The Ogun State Executive Council has given the green light for the construction of additional roads in Ifo Local Government Area, as part of ongoing infrastructure development efforts.

Engr. Ade Akinsanya, the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, announced the approval during a press conference on Thursday, providing updates on various road projects across the state.
The newly approved road projects include Alagbole–Ajuwon, Akute–Ajuwon, Toyin–Hercules–Giwa, and Oke-Aro, all situated within Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun Central Senatorial District.
Engr. Akinsanya emphasized the state government’s commitment to enhancing road infrastructure, particularly highlighting the reconstruction of the remaining 17 kilometers of Akute-Ijoko road. He stated that the project would be executed in two phases: the first phase will address the stretch from Akute to Oke-Aro, focusing on resolving flooding issues, followed by the second phase from Oke-Aro to Ijoko.
“This is part of our continued effort to improve the infrastructure in Ogun State, ensuring better connectivity and reducing travel time for our residents,” said Akinsanya.
The road construction projects are expected to significantly enhance transportation and economic activities within the region, benefitting residents and businesses alike.
