OPERATION HADIN KAI SUSTAINS LOGISTICS SUPPRESSION OPERATIONS, RECOVERS 37 MILLION NAIRA LINKED TO TERRORIST FINANCING

MAIDUGURI, BORNO STATE – 18 February 2026, 1400hrs

Troops of the (OPHK) have sustained the operational momentum generated from recent successful defensive engagements in Pulka and Madara-Girau, transitioning into deliberate logistics suppression operations across the theatre. The operations led to the recovery of ₦37 million linked to terrorist financing, alongside a sizeable cache of critical logistics supplies aimed at crippling terrorist networks operating in the North East.
A statement by the Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI, , indicated that the coordinated actions underscore OPHK’s resolve to maintain the initiative, deny terrorists freedom of movement, and systematically dismantle their supply and financing architecture.

According to the statement, the troops, building on recent operational gains, intensified intelligence-driven raids and interdiction operations targeting known logistics routes and financial couriers supporting terrorist elements. The suppression efforts resulted in the interception and recovery of the substantial sum of money suspected to be earmarked for terrorist activities, as well as the seizure of food items, fuel supplies, communication equipment, and other operational materials.

These coordinated operations demonstrate OPHK’s proactive strategy of cutting off terrorist supply chains by simultaneously targeting physical movement corridors and financial enablers. By disrupting both logistics networks and funding streams, the Task Force aims to weaken terrorist elements from within and significantly limit their capacity to regenerate combat power.

The Military High Command commended the vigilance, utmost professionalism, and resilience of the troops, as well as the collaborative efforts of other security agencies supporting the mission. It reaffirmed that Operation HADIN KAI remains resolute in its mandate to frustrate terrorist ambitions and restore enduring peace, security, and economic stability across the North East region.
