Otunba and Yeye Dapo Okubadejo reaches out to Orphanage in Odogbolu through Idera Foundation

Odogbolu, Ogun State
At a time when the cost of living is squeezing households across Nigeria and beyond, the Idera Pathfinders Foundation chose April 1 not to fool but to show up where it matters most at the doorsteps of children who have no one else to rely on after God Almighty.

The Idera Pathfinders Foundation, established by Otunba OlaDapo AbdulRahman and Yeye Otunba OluFunke Okubadejo, visited Focus On Disability Foundation in Odogbolu at Itanrin area, distributed mattresses, and essential household supplies to the special need children and their caregivers. It was a quiet intervention, but for the people on the receiving end, the kind that makes a real difference to daily life.

The timing carries weight as the global economy is under serious strain, ongoing conflict in Iran has disrupted oil supply chains, driving up fuel costs and feeding through to the high price of food, transport, and basic goods everywhere. Vulnerable communities feel these pressures first and hardest, and children in institutional care are among those with the least buffer against it. That context makes the foundation’s consistency all the more significant, not a one-off gesture. Idera Pathfinders has built a track record of showing up distributing food to people during religious seasons in Ijebuland, donating classrooms and furniture to schools, and installing solar streetlights in communities where darkness after sunset was a safety risk. Each intervention targets a real, identified gap.

For Otunba and Yeye Dapo Okubadejo, the foundation appears to be an extension of a broader philosophy that leadership carries an obligation beyond the status, and that the most vulnerable members of any community deserve consistent, practical attention, not just goodwill during election season nor spiritual festive periods.

The children and management of the Focus on Disability Foundation, specially expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Otunba AbdulRahman OlaDapo and Yeye-Otunba OluFunke Okubadejo and the management team of Idera Pathfinders Foundation for their steady support, feel loved by always bringing smiles, comfort and stability to our children, your kindness has directly made a huge difference in their lives. The initiative is widely seen as a structured avenue through which the Otunba and Yeye-Otunba Dapo Okubadejo gives back to his community while supporting the Federal Government ReNew Hope Agenga and Ogun State Government ISEYA efforts toward inclusive governance and sustainable development goals.
