President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received participants of the National Defence College (NDC), Course 33 at the State House, Abuja,
Abuja, Nigeria — 14 November 2025
with a resounding call for Nigerians to reignite their patriotic spirit and work collectively to strengthen the nation’s unity, greatness, and sovereignty.
Addressing the delegation, President Tinubu emphasized that Nigeria’s progress depends on the shared commitment of its citizens to protect and uphold the values that define the country. He noted that moments of national challenge require deeper cooperation between leaders, security institutions, and the populace.
The President reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to maintain Nigeria’s territorial integrity while advancing reforms to build a secure, prosperous, and globally competitive nation.
He commended the National Defence College for its continuous role in grooming strategic thinkers and security leaders capable of confronting emerging threats. According to him, the training and exposure gained by Course-33 participants are vital assets needed to strengthen the nation’s defence architecture.
President Tinubu urged the senior officers and participants to remain steadfast in their service to the country, stressing that “the protection of Nigeria’s sovereignty is a collective duty that must be upheld with courage, loyalty, and patriotic conviction.”
The visit forms part of the College’s tradition of engaging with national leaders as part of its strategic leadership and policy studies programme.
