PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS THREE NEW HEADS OF AGENCIES

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of three new heads to lead critical government agencies, signaling a strategic move to bolster institutional capacity and national development.
The appointees are:


Bello Bawa Bwari from Niger State, appointed as the Director-General of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA) for an initial four-year term, effective from September 18, 2025. His appointment is in line with Section 5 of the National Biosafety Management Agency Act of 2015.


Hon. Barr. Aminu Junaidu from Zamfara State, named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Investment and Securities Tribunal (IST) for a five-year term, starting September 18, 2025.


Olayiwola Nurudeen Awakan, appointed as Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) for an initial four-year term, effective September 2, 2025.


A statement issued by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information & Public Relations Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, emphasized that these appointments reflect President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening key sectors and institutions vital to Nigeria’s progress.


The President has charged the new appointees to leverage their expertise to drive growth and development within their respective agencies, ultimately advancing the nation’s socio-economic agenda.
This move aligns with the administration’s broader goals of enhancing governance, promoting investment security, safeguarding biosafety, and expanding Nigeria’s tourism potential.
