PRESIDENT TINUBU APPROVES NEW APPOINTMENTS IN KEY AGENCIES; MUKHTAR SHAGARI NEW CHAIRMAN NIWA

President Bola Tinubu has approved a fresh round of appointments in key government agencies as part of efforts to strengthen governance, enhance transparency, and improve service delivery in the public sector.
Among the changes announced is the redeployment of Musa Sarkin Adar, formerly the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI). In his stead, President Tinubu has appointed Mukhtar Shehu Shagari as the new Chairman of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).
In a statement released by the Presidency, President Tinubu urged the newly appointed officials to demonstrate patriotism and professionalism in the discharge of their duties. He emphasized the importance of leveraging their expertise to promote transparency, accountability, and efficient service delivery across their respective agencies.
According to the statement, all appointments take immediate effect.
