PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES NNPC BOARD CHAIR, MUSA KIDA @ 65TH BIRTHDAY

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Chairman of the Board of NNPC Limited, Mr. Ahmadu Musa Kida, on the occasion of his 65th birthday, describing him as a distinguished professional whose contributions have significantly impacted Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

In a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the President celebrated Mr. Kida’s sterling career spanning both the public and private sectors, as well as his notable engagement with professional basketball administration.

President Tinubu recalled that Mr. Kida joined Elf Petroleum Nigeria Limited—now Total Exploration and Production Nigeria (TEPNG)—in 1985, where he distinguished himself through professionalism, dedication, and leadership. According to the statement, Mr. Kida played a key role in shaping the growth and development of Nigeria’s oil industry during his years of service.

The President also acknowledged Mr. Kida’s current contributions as Chairman of the Board of NNPC Limited, noting his role in repositioning the national oil company and driving revenue growth in line with the Federal Government’s vision for the oil and gas sector.

President Tinubu urged Mr. Kida to continue to rededicate himself to the service of the nation and wished him many more years of good health, fulfillment, and impactful service to Nigeria.
