PRESIDENT TINUBU RECEIVES SECURITY BRIEFS FROM BAUCHI STATE GOVERNOR BALA MOHAMMED

President has formally received a comprehensive brief on the security situation in following recent disturbances reported in parts of the state.

The Governor of Bauchi State, , had an audience with the President on Friday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he provided updates on emerging security concerns.
Speaking after the meeting, Governor Mohammed disclosed that he informed the President about the disturbing activities of bandits in . He noted that the situation requires timely and decisive intervention to restore calm and protect lives and property in the affected communities.
The governor emphasized the need for strengthened collaboration between federal and state security agencies to curb the menace and prevent further escalation. He expressed confidence in the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting Bauchi State in addressing the security challenges.

On developments within the political landscape, particularly the recent wave of defections from the (PDP) to the ruling (APC), Governor Mohammed acknowledged that governors and political office holders have the constitutional right to align with any political platform of their choice.

However, he reaffirmed his personal decision to remain in the PDP, maintaining that his political convictions and commitment to the party remain steadfast.

The meeting underscores ongoing efforts by the Federal Government to engage with state leaders on critical security matters and ensure coordinated responses to emerging threats across the country.
