PRESIDENT TINUBU SUPPORTS 50,000 SOUTH EAST STUDENTS WITH JAMB REGISTRATION

ENUGU, NIGERIA — February 26, 2026

President , through the South East Renewed Hope Agenda, has supported 50,000 students across the South East geopolitical zone with registration for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and mock examinations.

The initiative covers registration fees for the (JAMB) examination and is aimed at easing the financial burden on families while expanding access to higher education opportunities for young people in the region.

Speaking on the development, coordinators of the South East Renewed Hope Agenda described the gesture as part of President Tinubu’s broader commitment to educational advancement and youth empowerment across the country. They noted that the sponsorship is designed to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent qualified students from pursuing tertiary education.
Beneficiaries and community leaders across the zone have commended the initiative, describing it as timely support that will encourage academic excellence and increase enrollment into tertiary institutions.

The programme is part of ongoing federal efforts under the Renewed Hope Agenda to promote inclusive development and create equal opportunities for Nigerian students nationwide.
