Abuja, Nigeria – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will commemorate his 73rd birthday on Saturday, March 29, 2025, with a special prayer session at the National Mosque in Abuja, emphasizing gratitude, reflection, and national unity.

A Day of Spiritual Reflection

In a statement released Thursday by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Presidency announced that the President would join fellow Muslims for prayers on Friday, March 28, in observance of Ramadan and in thanksgiving for divine guidance in leading the nation.

“President Tinubu’s birthday coincides with the holy month of Ramadan and comes two months before his administration’s second anniversary,” Onanuga stated. “On this significant day, the President will dedicate himself to spiritual reflection and supplication for Nigeria’s continued peace, progress, and prosperity.”

A Call for National Prayer and Unity

The President’s decision to mark his birthday with prayers underscores his belief in collective spiritual devotion as a catalyst for national harmony. He has invited Nigerians of all faiths to join in prayer wherever they may be, reinforcing a shared commitment to the country’s future.

In a personal message, President Tinubu expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve Nigeria and called for continued unity amid ongoing reforms.

“I am deeply thankful to Allah for the gift of life and the privilege to serve this great nation,” he said. “As I mark another birthday and look forward to our second anniversary, my heart is filled with Renewed Hope for Nigeria. I urge all citizens to pray for divine guidance, unity, and healing for our land. Together, we shall overcome challenges and build a nation where every citizen thrives.”

Reflecting on Two Years of Leadership

The prayer session comes as the Tinubu administration prepares to mark its second anniversary in May 2025. The President’s message reaffirmed his commitment to economic recovery, security, and democratic consolidation, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast in their belief in the country’s potential.

The event is expected to be attended by government officials, religious leaders, and well-wishers, with security arrangements in place to ensure a peaceful gathering.
