SECURITY OPERATIVES RESCUE 21 KIDNAP VICTIMS, ARREST FOUR SUSPECTS IN DANMUSA

The Government has successfully rescued 21 kidnap victims during a joint security operation in Dargaza Hills, located in Danmusa Local Government Area of the state.
The intelligence-led operation, which targeted criminal hideouts in the rugged Dargaza Hills, was carried out by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Army, the Nigerian Police Force, and the Community Watch Corps. The coordinated effort led to the safe rescue of the victims and the arrest of four suspects who are currently undergoing investigation.

The rescued victims comprised 16 women, two men, and three babies. They were abducted from Gidan Sarkin Bayero Village in Musawa Local Government Area and other surrounding communities. Of the 21 victims, 19 are Christians while two are Muslims, underscoring the indiscriminate nature of banditry and reaffirming the government’s commitment to protecting all citizens regardless of religious affiliation.

The Katsina State Government assured citizens that the arrested suspects will face the full weight of the law upon the conclusion of investigations.

The government further reiterated that Governor ’s commitment to ending banditry and restoring lasting peace across the state remains non-negotiable.

Officials also commended the security agencies for their professionalism, bravery, and dedication in executing the operation, describing the rescue as a significant milestone in the ongoing fight against insecurity in the state.
